Our client is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to work as part of our Warehouse and Logistics team. This role will be based in our Logistics Centre in Runcorn. You will be responsible for the supervision of up to 6 Logistics Coordinators and will work collaboratively with our Logistics Office Supervisor. Your duties and responsibilities will be: Providing supervision and assistance to your team. Responsible for compliance with appropriate legislation and regulation i.e., Safety Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) and ISO standards. Complying with QA standards and procedures. Promoting a diverse and inclusive culture which harnesses the ideas of all team members, and which does not discriminate against any individual or group of individuals. Overseeing all processes involving the receipt, storage, processing, and dispatch of all equipment inside the MIC, both businesses owned, and customer owned. Ensuring all receipts, issues and storage changes are actioned on SAP as well as any other customer accounting systems. Investigating and rectify any anomalies found between physical stocks and accounting records, escalating to the Head of Logistics if required. Maintaining a high standard of stock husbandry and overall tidiness of the warehouse, yard, and surround areas. Report the current situation and upcoming issues to the Head of Logistics as required, at minimum, a weekly written report. Ensuring the customer required stock reports are actioned at agreed schedules. Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities and liaise with relevant stakeholders to realise their benefits. Scheduling haulage runs/driver schedules as required utilising the most cost-effective methods. Ensure that accurate storage allocations for projects are passed to the Head of Logistics at the end of each month. Undertake such other duties or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the responsibility of this job. Skills & Knowledge Requirements: A strong understanding of logistics solutions in both a warehousing and office function. Current Forklift Truck counterbalance qualification advantageous Previous warehouse Supervisory experience. Key Attributes: Excellent organisational, written and communication skills. The ability to work to a high standard of accuracy, timeliness and efficiency. The ability to schedule and plan activities whilst reaching deadlines. A positive approach to work. Self-motivated, flexible and an enthusiastic team player
