Role Description Support Worker - Supported Living Salary: £11.00 per hour (£21,450 per annum). Location: Redhill, Surrey RH1 4EB. From Redhill station, please click here. From Earlswood station, please click here. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis, this will include sleep-in shifts. We also offer part-time opportunities. Who will you be supporting SeeAbility is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities, sight loss, and a wide range of other needs. We are a forward thinking supported living service, always striving to improve and find better ways of doing things. We have recently acquired a service in Redhill and are looking for new Support Workers to join an established team who share a passion for making a difference to the people we support in whatever way we can. The site where you would be working is on a brand-new housing estate with new build homes and flats, that the people we support live in. It is based in a beautiful part of Redhill, overseeing the peaceful North Downs. At our new Redhill service, we are looking for calm, patient, and resilient Support Workers who will take the time to get to know the people we support and will be able take a calm and consistent approach towards motivating them to engage in the activities they like and enjoy. You can expect to support with a range of daily living tasks which can involve personal care, laundry, meal preparation and medication administration. As a Support Worker some of the aspects of your role will be include: Support the users of our services in: Providing personal, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical support Developing their everyday living skills, for example, cooking meals, cleaning, shopping, and traveling Learning how to use money and other house-hold financial management skills, enabling them the security of their tenancy Using equipment, such as microwaves and other household equipment Taking part in social and leisure activities Ensuring the welfare and safety of the people we supportOther aspects of your role include: Assist in the writing of reports and attend reviews where appropriate Administer medication where necessary Act as an advocate where appropriate Contribute to team meetings and forumsYou will be given dedicated time to carry out the administrative tasks of this role. Read more about Redhill Supported Living About you You will be looking for full-time hours 37.5 per week and happy to work on a rota basis, covering a combination of mornings, days, evenings and weekend support. Although we welcome you if you've been a Care Assistant, Support Worker or equivalent, experience isn t necessary.
