The business are looking for a proactive and competent Technical Support Officer to manage all support requirements. A typical day could involve scheduling meetings and appointments, maintaining the workshop and arranging repairs as necessary, supporting HR with the creation and maintenance of workshop policies and procedures, as well as assisting with the onboarding process for new hires.

Description

  • Ensure the smooth running of Factory day-to-day administrative activities
  • Develop and implement new administrative systems, such as record management
  • Maintain the upkeep of the workshop and maintain stock levels of consumables
  • Oversee the recruitment of key engineering staff, including induction and training
  • Responsible for VIP & Visitor calendar / organisation
  • Organising company / staff logistics
  • Be part of facility management team
  • Follow key documentation standards and in-house style guides
  • Produce external literature with the PR team for dissemination
  • Be meticulous in administrative duties, documentation, and document standards
  • Make a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively
  • Assist in controlling company project management software
  • Provide PA duties to managers
  • Set up meetings / take minutes / organise follow ups
  • Support the Engineering Procurement team

Profile

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Engineering Support
  • Knowledge of administration processes and practices
  • Ability to provide high quality documentation with an excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in and ability to be responsible for many Engineering Department functions and operations
  • Must be able to set goals, prioritise multiple objectives with various deadlines and independently manage documentation projects
  • Able to work and embed themselves into the various teams and projects to understand products and services
  • Experience working with project management software / approaches (PRINCE2 is company used approach)
