About the Position:

The Specialty Finance Credit Analyst will work closely with the VP of Credit Administration in the analysis of credit approval documents, annual reviews, pre-loan purchase qualification, and follow up on trailing documents and exception reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform consistent and accurate analysis of financial statements and tax returns
  • Review quality of underwriting and determine final decision of business purpose loan requests within assigned credit limit
  • Contact our loan source providers and/or borrowers to obtain required financial information and address any document exceptions
  • Assure timely completion of annual reviews
  • Review prefunding loan packages prior to loan purchase
  • Review documentation for accuracy in comparison to loan approval
  • Prepare department loan data and provide reports for the Credit Administration department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelors degree in business or finance
  • Desire to learn commercial credit
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Familiarity with reading basic financial statements, personal and business tax returns
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare, Franchise, and Wealth Management fields a plus
  • Familiarity with banking industry a plus
Working Conditions/Demands:
  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
