The position will create programs to assure accurate, timely and effective funding of mortgage loans. The Manager will oversee various lending programs with emphasis on the financial aspects. The programs include warehouse funding and any related hedging in addition to issuance of bonds backed by mortgage loans originated within the program. The Manager will monitor market developments and help leadership and staff to better manage and deliver the product.
In this job, you will:
  • Build and manage a mortgage loan warehouse funding program in accordance with CGB and investor guidelines.
  • Coordinate within CGB and with external parties to facilitate the placement of mortgage-backed bonds.
  • Serve as key communicator with investors regarding interest rate exposure, managing the warehouse function / issuing bonds, understanding loans as being qualifying collateral, working/communicating with investors as far as non-performing loans.
  • Manage required reporting to stockholders, investors and leadership.
  • Analyze and produce reports on the effectiveness of funding programs.
  • Develop and present budget information for the mortgage funding program.
  • Monitor market conditions and program influences to enhance the delivery of the mortgage product.
  • Develop materials and participate in sales and leadership communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll need to be considered:


Required - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.

Preferred - MBA.


10 years of progressive experience in a lending institution focused on finance, banking, accounting and IT.

5 years of experience in a financial leadership role with direct executive, accounting, legal and outside business communications.

5 years of building processes in a team environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of financial market funding methods.
  • Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; strong use of database and spreadsheet applications (Excel) and reporting.
  • Substantial knowledge of the theory and practice of accounting.
  • Substantial knowledge of accounting and financial software programs and systems.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, statistical modeling; including variance analysis.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and present findings.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to remain flexible to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Ability to coordinate activities of technical staff.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coach subordinates, including ability to communicate regarding performance.

Physical Demands & Requirements

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Ability to stand or sit constantly/continuously.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment.
