Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as a key team member of a group ofpayroll processors

On a daily basis handle payroll processingfor multiple clients

Manage workflow to ensure all payrolltransactions are processed accurately and timely

Review payrolls prior to finalizing andvalidate accuracy

Understand proper taxation of employerpaid benefits

Process garnishment calculations andcompliance

Execute time and attendance processing andinterface with payroll

Assist with the processing of accurate and timely Quarterly and year-end taxreporting (941s, State returns, W-2, W-2c, etc)

Develop ad hoc financial and operationalreporting as needed

Load import files received from clients

Research, call and email with clientsregarding issues or missing items

Build relationships of trust andconfidence with clients

Suggest ways to improve processes orcreate efficiencies

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED as minimum; somecollege or college degree a big plus

CPP preferred but not required

5+ years of experience processing payroll,preferably with multi-states

Working knowledge of payroll bestpractices

Knowledge of federal and state payrolllaws and regulations.

Strong PC skills including proficiency inExcel

Demonstrated ability to learn new systems

Experience with integration of Timekeepingsystems to Payroll

Strong work ethic and team player, eagerto take on more responsibility

High degree of professionalism

Ability to deal sensitively withconfidential material

Able to multitask and to deal with severalclients at a time, set priorities

Strong interpersonal (verbal and written)communication skills

Can effectively communicate with variouslevels of management

Decision-making, problem-solving, andanalytical skills

Basic accounting knowledge and/orQuickBooks exposure to assist clients in posting payroll costs
