Payroll Administrator

Based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, our client is looking to expand their team by bringing in a Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone with at least 2 years' payroll experience with previous office admin experience within a payroll or accounts department.

The company are a successful family run business with sites across the UK.

The successful individual will have good attention to detail and strong numeracy skills. They will have good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office and Excel. This person will be up to date regarding changes to payroll legislation from HMRC. A commitment to accuracy and compliance is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare and run weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Ensure all necessary returns are made to HMRC within the deadlines
  • Preparing and posting journals in the accounting software system
  • Check the payroll information supplied by pub managers
  • Answer payroll queries for employees as required
