Our National Tax Department serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. The combination of knowledge and experience forms the basis of our ability to assist clients in meeting their business objectives. The International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) Capital Markets practice assists with the provision of tax advisory services with respect to domestic and cross-border financial transactions and structures, including cash management, debt and equity instruments, derivatives, financial products, foreign currency, and hedging activities. Services include transaction planning and implementation, research and analysis of complex tax issues, and writing of tax memoranda.
You will interact with firm professionals from multiple tax disciplines, including international tax, Internal Revenue Service practice and procedure, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, real estate, leasing, accounting methods and foreign tax to provide timely and high-quality services and work products that meet or exceed client expectations. This will make you a trusted advisor and role model for our people across multiple teams, making this a great place to develop a diverse network of collaborative colleagues.
Your key responsibilities
Identifying and resolving complex domestic and international tax issues
Providing technical tax advice and planning services to a portfolio of projects
Bringing transactional experience and foreign tax currency exposure
Building long-lasting relationships with our clients, developing your understanding of their unique needs and requirements
Constantly developing your own knowledge, maintaining your status as a trusted advisor by monitoring emerging trends, technologies and practices

o Have, or actively working toward, obtaining a Juris Doctor or LLM in Taxation
o Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar

o Flexibility and a genuine desire to learn
o Experience gained through a financial modeling role
