Chesapeake's has an immediate full time opening for a Fish Cutter at our Parkside Drive restaurant.

Responsibilities include having a strong knowledge of a variety of whole fish and fillets, maintaining accuracy of the product varieties, preparing whole fish and fillets into forms ready for cooking including weighing, deboning, filleting and portioning of a wide variety of fish to serve daily in our restaurant. You will need to keep a clean and sanitary work environment as well as on occasion perform other food production procedures and tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained and functioning properly. You will be working with current product specifications, must be quick and efficient with your work and able to adapt to new procedures as they arise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-3 years high volume or institutional fish cutting
  • Team Player with a sense of humor
  • Smiles easily and often
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow established practices
  • Can take and follow periodic directional change from Supervisors
  • Math skills and understanding of basic conversions
  • Must be able to use a digital scale and thermometer
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and more on occasion (with assistance)
  • Position requires standing, bending, and walking the entire workday
  • Safety-conscious approach.
  • Good practical knife skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Good spatial awareness judgement.
  • Attention to detail and dexterity.
  • An interest in fish and fish preparation, and food in general.
