Due to expansion my client is looking for 2 x Export Sales Managers to join their busy sales teams who ideally come from an FMCG background, dealing with food sales in particular.

The Role Overall:

  • Must have 4+ Year experience in Food Sales
  • Highly drive, tenacious, with a high passion for sales and one who is confident go-getter who won't take no for an answer
  • Intermediate or Higher Excel skills
  • Successful track record of winning new business and maintaining key accounts
  • Understanding your markets, the industry, and customers' in order to add value to their businesses.
  • KEY SKILLS: Excellent Communication Skills and Confidence with Customer Relationship building.
  • TRAINING: on our internal accounts system SAP Business One - Experience 2+ years ideal
  • HIGHLY DESIRABLE: Arabic Speaker/ and Mandarin or Either

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying and qualifying prospective customers through responding in a timely manner to enquiries, research, and networking.
  • Consistently providing information via email, what's app and other social media, in order to continue trade and compile orders for current trading customers, enticing them with offers and promotions. Alongside offering attentive customer service and additional transportation, packaging, and logistics services.
  • Following up on business opportunities via networking during trade shows, online specifically emails and social media
  • Review New and Existing Customers Accounts at the time of opening and periodically after accounts are opened, to ensure accurate and up to date due diligence documents are obtained
  • Research and Enhance up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending training meetings and conducting research.
  • Consistently providing information to administrators and warehouse so information is entered onto the calendar and all orders/deliveries are planned and coordinated with the warehouse.
  • Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers in order to identify and qualify potential prospects and present current product offers.
  • Managing and monitoring the progress of orders from order receipt to export, with effective planning and communication with Customers, to ensure payment transactions and sales orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Effective planning and communication with Customers, and various internal departments by informing and updating team members and customers of transport and logistics costs, product expiry dates and lead time for deliveries and all other services rendered
    • This includes not allowing customers to hold stock in our premises for more than 2 months, to reduce costs and maintain consistent cash flow.
    • Always ensure clear and exact information is given to warehouse, documentation and purchasing teams regarding the details of each order.
    • To maintain a record of customer requirements for each order and ensure any changes made last minute for any reason are formally recorded
  • Continuously updating and maintaining customer accounts records

  • Sales Reporting Requirements:
    • you should complete sales activity report each week and deliver it to management via email on Friday.
    • Customer order coordination sales orders, purchasing order books, shipping instructions, and loading documents should be updated and reviewed
    • Meeting Notes: Ad hoc - as and when customer/ supplier meetings take place, meeting notes must be created
