Electronics Engineer - Barnstaple SEA is delighted to announce an exciting new position that has been created for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our growing Ships Protection Portfolio. We are looking for a driven Electronics Engineer with experience of electro-mechanical product design and the systems engineering lifecycle. 'Relocation Package available - call Claire to discuss' About the job: The Electronics Engineer will be working as part of a team to develop our Ships Protection Product line which includes launchers and defence systems. - The position requires a multi-skilled engineer capable of both working alone to design low level assemblies from concept to delivery. - First-hand experience with electronic design is essential as well as being a practitioner in systems engineering with experience in requirements decomposition to acceptance and user sign-off on multi-disciplinary programmes. - A "can to attitude" and a willingness to deliver work at all levels is crucial. - The equipment is design for the defence Naval industry and so an understanding of the associated environment and requirements / standards is desirable. - We are also transitioning to a product base environment and so experience of the product lifecycle is also desirable. The right person: You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of Electronic and systems design and development, ideally in a related industry or product-based environment. Other skills also include: - An understanding of Analogue Electronics Design, Digital Electronics Design and of PLC Circuit Design, - You will have an understanding of design for EMC, CE/UKCA certification, - Experience of System integration and qualification - You will have experience of testing, configuration and support of hardware elements of a system.
