A client of ours in the Harlow area are recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working a 36-hour week (flexible working hours between 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday) and paying a negotiable salary depending on experience. Your key duties in this Business Development Manager role will include but are not limited to: Responsible for developing and managing new business by building relationships and working closely with Respiratory Nurses, Respiratory Teams, Physiotherapists and Pharmacists in Primary and Secondary Care. Drive increased sales and market share in the primary/secondary sector through relationships with procurement, medicine's management, suppliers, CCGs and KOLs. Maintain, defend, and grow sales within territory. Promote and differentiate our company through the total value proposition offer. Work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to execute the business plan. Analyse and use regional sales data and metrics to support delivery of sales plans. Ensure accurate and timely administration and record keeping, for example, maintenance of customer databases and records, progress notes and customer follow up via the CRM system. Ensure a great working knowledge of CCG's and NHS trusts within territory, understanding their priorities and how they manage accounts. Demonstrate key influence and understanding of national or regional working groups and KOLs and, where appropriate, be involved with activities, providing insightful political intelligence over the shape of health policy and NHS activities. Engage and account manage medical device distributors as and when necessary. Report all account, market and competitive information, trends, and metrics in a comprehensive, complete, and timely fashion. Plans and prepares sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings, customer activities and investments. Attend all required regional and national meetings. Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role: Professional, accountable, and disciplined. 3 years + experience of selling within the medical device sector, respiratory knowledge would be desirable. Must have excellent selling, influencing and negotiation skills Demonstrate an understanding of the NHS environment and customers, with knowledge of the decision-making process (economic buyer, reimbursement etc). Be passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering solutions through partnerships. Ambitious and resilient, will go the extra mile to achieve and get results. Excellent communicator who communicates with impact. Confident decision maker. Entrepreneurial with commercial acumen who seeks opportunities and has a proactive solution orientated approach Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use insights to define objectives to deliver results. Communicates data in clear and concise format Ability to work well within a team. Key account management and stakeholder engagement IT skills - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
